Goal setting is an essential component of setting up and owning a business and without which you lack focus and direction. This module highlights steps that transcend the specifics of your goals and guide you to formulate goals that are accomplishable.

  • Setting up your rapid minimum viable product (MVP)
  • Criteria for evaluating your MVP centre
  • Identifying your ideal customer

Day 3 - 16 August 2022JumpStart Module II - Digital Value Proposition (DVP)

To effectively maximise the use of online channels for your business, a distinct and explicit digital value proposition (DVP) must be developed for your target audiences. This should compel customers to click on, buy your product, return and even share their experience. This module will direct you to establish your DVP, understand its rationale and why it is essential to any successful small business.

Yusuf JaffarGrowth Hacker, Corporate Innovator And Business Accelerator

Yusuf Jaffar is a growth marketer at LaunchGood, the biggest crowdfunding platform for the global Muslim community. He is a corporate innovator. He worked in MetLife, a Fortune 50 company where he championed the development of new growth hacking methodologies to bring takaful products to Malaysia and Singapore.

Yusuf launches and implements new projects for businesses. He trained the lean startup and business model canvas methodologies at the Malaysian Global Innovation and Creativity Centre’s (MaGIC) accelerator programmes for several years. Among notable projects he has built is Malaysia’s Social Enterprise Venture, a venture capital management company connecting young innovative social entrepreneurs in Malaysia with funders, mentors and partners.

Yusuf was part of the team that created Malaysia’s first impact-driven enterprise accreditation called MaGIC Impact Driven Enterprise Accreditation. He has developed a programme for the Malaysian government called Pemangkin Usahawan Sosial Hebat to assist the scaling of small brick-and-mortar businesses.

Yusuf holds a master’s degree in Islamic finance from INCEIF University Malaysia.

Dr Vibin JosephCEO, BiOZEEN, India

Dr Vibin Joseph is the CEO of BiOZEEN and a technopreneur. He leads global operations across five continents that process and formulate more than a billion doses of vaccines every year. He is an Engineer and biologist by training with degrees from Imperial College London and a doctorate from Warwick University. He is a consultant with the Developing Countries Vaccine Manufacturing Network.

He is a director at the Imperial College India Foundation and recognised by Imperial College London for outstanding contribution to society. He is a member of the Young President’s Organisation and inspires positive change as a One Young World Ambassador.

Faeez FadhlillahCEO And Founder, Tripfez And Salam Standard, Malaysia

Faeez Fadhlillah is an entrepreneur, CEO and Founder of Tripfez and Salam Standard, an innovative, state-of-the-art travel portal. He founded Aleef Capital, a boutique investment firm specialising in investing in outstanding entrepreneurs with disruptive ideas. He co-founded a pharmacy chain Downtown Pharmacy and serves as Honorary Secretary-General of the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA). He is a board member of various companies such as MATTA Properties Sdn Bhd, MICEM Sdn Bhd and MATTA Academy Sdn Bhd.

Faeez was named 30 under 30 by Forbes magazine in 2016, 40 Under 40 by Prestige, Top 10 Young Entrepreneur Rising by Top 10, People To Watch 2016 by TTG, the Most Innovative Young Leaders Award 2016 by UCSI and one of the Forty Individuals Who Shaped Southeast Asian E-commerce By EcommerceIQ. He has been featured in major publications including BBC, CNBC, Forbes and TTG. He graduated from the University of Sydney with honours.

Syakir HashimDirector, Wahed Invest, Malaysia

Syakir Hashim is Director of Wahed Invest in Malaysia. He spent the last decade building technology companies in the space of fintech and social impact. His first startup was a crowdfunding platform which he built while at university. It was acquired by one of the largest crowdfunding companies in Southeast Asia.

Later, he joined Wahed, a US-based robo-advisory firm focused on the global Muslim market. He led the growth of Wahed in Malaysia to become one of the largest digital investment managers in the country. He became senior vice president for the group where he managed the robo-advisory business across North America, Europe and Southeast Asia.
